The Casablanca's first instance court sentenced last Thursday the rapper Moaz Balghawat known as the "Spiteful" [Al-Haqed] to 4-month imprisonment. He had already served his time in jail which should be ending on Jan. 9, so he is supposed to be released by now.
The charge Moaz faces is assaulting a member of "the royal youth movement" called Mohamed Eldaly. His case had been adjourned for several times without examination. Many calls to release him were rejected, while he was named "the personality of the year 2011 in Morocco" by his fellows who see his trial as a political affair for his activities in "20 February movement" and his anti-regime songs.
