Jet2 launch three new flight routes from Newcastle Airport

Adventurous holidaymakers can jet off to some of Europe and North Africa's most magnificent cities after the launch of new, one-off flights from Newcastle from Jet2holidays.
Jet2holidays will be winging away to St Petersburg in Russia, Reykjavik in Iceland and Morocco's "Ochre City" Marrakech for three weekends in 2013.
A spokesman for Jet2 said: “Your every sensation will be amplified in Marrakech, a dense city of ochre-coloured Kasbahs and aromatic spice souks accompanied by the soft melodies of Arabian flutes.
“Wander its bustling streets and a patchwork of evocative images will come alive before you, yet the city still makes space for reflection in soothing hammams and shaded tropical gardens.
“Then witness the displays of grandeur at magnificent palaces, huge squares and intensely ornate cathedrals of St. Petersburg, which is barely more than 300 years old.
“This mighty city has continually been at the forefront of Russia’s radical history, giving it an incomparable atmosphere that remains today.
“And when you witness the swirls of steam drifting from its cool grey waterfront, you’ll soon understand why Reykjavik is translated as the 'Smoking Bay.'
“It's just one of countless beautiful scenes you’ll see in the world’s northernmost capital, where clean air and crisp light make every experience ethereal.”
